Our trainer called in sick this afternoon. So it was me 3hrs on the deck telling others what to do. At least I was in the water a couple of times for demonstration purposes.

Har, har, they do hate/like my sessions as it's always a lot of drills and not simple lap-swimming. More interesting but danger of drowning half the time... :D

Wet and windy in Germany. 1:05h easy run.

They were whinging they felt muscles this morning they didn't know of. But they said they're keen to do more drills. So it wasn't that bad obviously... :D

Mon and tue no swim....
Work as usual.
Today, after good night sleep I went to pool expecting fresh and fruity swim set, but Paul ask us, if we want to do the 3km TT instead...
And I said yes ( would have done it by myslef tomorrow, easier with a group of people...)

First 500m went to hard ( as usual), second km was awful, pins and needles in my right arm, tense.... and last km was nice again, especially when I counted down .....
Fin at 52.06 ( Paul predicted around 54.38)... So not to bad, even if I did not feel great...And obviously would have liked to be faster...

Massage afterwards.... was awesome,.... Will do it soon again. Shoulder tight and my right leg hated it while I got it, but better now.

Yes - it's in Lanzarote, Canary Islands so should be nicely warm but not too warm :-) Can't wait. Been once before and it's FAB!

la santa, nice. have fun, sarah.

For me it was a leisurely 1h run on the track yesterday followed by a core stability class. No intervals as there's that 10k on Sunday. Today I went to the pool, did a couple of length, but mainly spent my time chatting and working with club mates to improve their stroke... :)

Indeed, work interferes so much. I'm still a student, but I've been interning at a learning center/cram school this past week, and it's been impossible to train cuz the hours are either 10am-6pm or 12noon to 8pm while team training is 5-7pm.

Hi

swam this morning
100m f/s
200 drill as 25m R arm, 25m L arm, 100m f/s
300m something with fins ( I think, can't believe I forgot it)
400m some fins....(again, I think)
500m fins getting faster every lap
500m in 100s 75% effort ( I did the 500m wrong way round, starting with the effort )
400m pull buoy with paddles
300m 3/6/3 and f/ sback
200m pull ( I think, not sure...)
100m ( relay as team, I did 50m to swim to other end of pool and than did the 50m part of medley)
another 100m cooldown backstroke

Wanted to by a swimsuit approved for open water swim, they have to be ordered.

Plan to swim again this arvo, but I am tired and the set is 6km ( not for me)
If I do it, it will be 3 to 3.5km
will see

Still can't believe that I could not remember the swim details shortly after I left...
Sad.
Will skip PM swim. Too tired and still 16 weeks till Rottnest ( if we are accepted).

Now housekeeping and cleaning and walking the dog.

hey nat happens to me all the time
today the last thing I did was a warm down and I honestly can't tell you whether it was 3 or 4 hundred
I sometimes enter the program into my phone as I'm driving home from the pool cause I know in the post training glow I sometimes just cannot recall what I did ;-)

today however was

1km stretch out free - 14min
3 x 300m free - rep on 4:30
6 x 100m free - rep on 1:40
500m kickboard with fins
500m free - 6:30
500m kickboard with fins
300m free w fins warm down (or maybe 400)

4.3k

yesterday was a day off (begrudgingly) - my 8/10 yr old lads had fri night swim club - it's always inspiring to remember it thru their eyes, the thrill of new race goggles. marshaling areas and PB's

thurs was no swim but a gym session
1 hour on stationary bike (approx 145bpm av)
half hour of weights - may yet regret this, I definitely feel the strength benefits but often its traded for slightly reduced shoulder flex and reach

will swim again tomorrow - looking for a steady 6km sesh

later sk8ers
