Am I overglider

Hi,
I started swimming as huge overglider, and now I'm working on it to develop smooth stroke. This is my last video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiAaerXI-Gc

Can you tell me if I'm still overglider? I'm asking, because I have hard times trying distinguish small overglider from smooth type.

BTW yes I know my style is far away from smooth in many aspects, but I'm aware of it and still working ;-)

Now I must do sth with my sinking butt ;-)

Doesn't look like you have a sinking bum. Legs are fairly straight and your ankles are just breaking the water with a nice steady kick - Think more of a straight leg with the kick coming from the hip.

I can't quite tell from the angle but it looks like you hold onto your breath for a second. As soon as your head is in the water star to breath out. You'll find your legs will come up a little more then.

Unfortunately I have. It is not seen from this angle + it is first 25m. It's looks I have quite good body balance on first 50m, but after few lenghts my bum is sinking and I start kicking more and more from my knees. I'm working on my kicking technique and trying to press harder with my chest. Yesterday I ordered front snorkel - hope this will let me concentrate on body balance. I'm struggling with finding sweet spot, where breathing is comfortable and legs don't sink - hope snorkel will help with this.

The snorkel will help with your technique but not getting your breath timing right. Have you tried the bubble-bubble-breath drill?

https://app.swimsmooth.com/video/oC/bubble-bubble-breathe-combining-exhalation-and-bilateral-breathing/

It will help you with the breath timing and breathing out in a relaxed way.

Have fun!

I believe my breathing out is ok now. A worked hard on it, and in underwater video it looks ok - mayby from time to time I delay breathing out (it is new ability for me, and I still must think about breathing out to do it properly - bubble - bubble - stretch is really helpful), but basically I have no problem with breathing during long swimming (as I had before). The problem is, that I can't find proper balance in normal swimming. When I swim very very slow (say 40 spm), and concentrate on floating it's ok - it is also ok when I'm sprinting probably due to hard kicking. But when I swim with my normal speed (~55 spm) it's starts to break apart after a while. Hope that the snorkel give me time to concentrate on balance during normal swimming. When I find proper position I'll try to incorporate breathing in it. I just simply feel that I need a longer moment to feel the proper alignment in the water without disturbing myself with breathing.

I don't know much, but I know you are not over gliding.
