Any suggestions on the maximum number of sessions a week I can do, and how I should increase the workload. I've previously swam a couple of times per week.
However, I suspect that you will receive more answers in the other forum "Talk Swimming!" as there are significantly more posts over there, although there are certainly many members looking up here too.

For making good progress, at least 3 times per week is recommended.
I swim 6-7 times per week: important here that you like it.
For the three disciplines running, cycling, swimming: running needs the most rest, swimming the least.
